Liked: Air condition was working reliably at night, which I appreciated because of the insufferable heat/humidity in Cartagena. Mind you, it is only on at night though! The common area is very nice and they offer laundry service/towels/breakfast at a reasonable price. Cleanliness level was quite good for a hostel. The little bed "cabins" were spacious enough to fit quite a bit of stuff and have an additional lockable storage option, which I appreciated. Could be better: Some staff are very friendly, others act as if they were doing me a personal favour working there. What's with that attitude? Also, if you work at a hostel in a city as touristic as Cartagena, with lots of international tourists, I expect at least a meager few words of English. Some did speak and/or tried their best, others couldn't be bothered at all. The room doors were being painted whilst I was there, at least some kind of notification would have been nice. I got paint on my hands several times opening the room door, apparently it dried very slowly. Work in the kitchen was also being done which meant we couldn't use the sink in between - again, a notification would help. They have just one fridge there for people's food which can get too packed.
