This page explains how people can request deletion of personal data from SearchSpot.ai. It is designed as a global baseline with jurisdiction-specific timelines.
If you are looking for broader data handling details, see our Privacy Policy.
- Delete your account and associated personal data from active systems.
- Delete specific categories of data (for example, chat history or marketing preferences).
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If your SearchSpot usage involved Meta (Facebook/Instagram), complete both steps:
- Step 1: Remove SearchSpot access in Meta settings.
Facebook: App settings
Instagram: Manage connected experiences
- Step 2: Submit your SearchSpot deletion request using the form below or by email.
Fill this form to request deletion. If this form does not work, email hiten@searchspot.ai with the subject "Data deletion request".

| Region | Typical timeline | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Global baseline | Within 30 days from verified request receipt. | Used as default unless stricter local law applies. |
| EEA / UK | Within 1 month, with lawful extension where applicable. | Aligned with GDPR and UK GDPR timelines. |
| California (US) | Within 45 days, with lawful extension where applicable. | Aligned with CCPA timing framework. |
| India | As soon as reasonable, and no later than 90 days where required. | Aligned to DPDP Act/Rules obligations for erasure handling. |
| Brazil / Singapore / Australia / Other | Within local legal timelines, defaulting to 30 days where possible. | We apply stricter local requirements when they apply. |
Where multiple laws apply, we follow the stricter requirement.
Use the request form on this page as the primary method.
If the form is unavailable, email hiten@searchspot.ai with the subject "Data deletion request" and include sufficient details to identify your account.
If you used Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to connect to SearchSpot, you should also remove SearchSpot access in Meta App Settings to stop future data sharing.
To protect users from unauthorized deletion, we may ask for minimal verification information before processing a request.
Where local law permits, processing timelines may start after required identity verification is completed.
We delete requested personal data from active systems when the request is valid and no legal exception applies.
We may retain limited records where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, taxation/accounting, or enforcement of agreements.
Retained records are deleted or de-identified when the retention requirement ends.
If you believe your request was not handled correctly, reply to our response or email hiten@searchspot.ai with your request reference.
You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority where applicable, including the Data Protection Board of India for India-specific grievances once operational processes are notified.
