Situated on the High Street in the centre of Newmarket, this 17th century former coaching inn offers easy access to the famous horse racing tracks and the National Horseracing Museum, a 2-minute walk from the property. The hotel has a private car park for guests and offers character and charm with many original period features as well as modern facilities. The Rutland Arms Hotel features the Nell Gwynn bar, where guests can enjoy coffee during the day - or a game of pool in the evening, and also the award-winning Carriages Wine Bar and Restaurant. The classically decorated rooms have some original period features, and they have an en suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. With excellent road access to the historic city of Cambridge, 14 miles away, and the stunning cathedral at Ely, 13 miles away, a stay at the Rutland Arms can offer a glimpse of Englands heritage. The hotel operates a strict non-smoking policy throughout the building. The height-restricted car park is located on Palace Street, to the side of the hotel. Once at the hotel, turn onto Palace Street, passing TK Maxx, and the car park is on the left hand side. When booking 6 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.
