Situated in the centre of the Kurokawa Onsen Area and boasting a total of 8 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Nanjoen offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning/heating facilities, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box. The seating area is furnished with a low table and seating cushions, and comes with an electric kettle and a green tea set. Yukata robes and free toiletries are also provided. Bathrooms are shared with other guests. At Nanjoen Ryokan, guests can relax in the sauna, use the free shuttle service to/from Kurokawa Onsen Bus Stop or purchase souvenirs at the gift shop. Vending machines and free parking can also be found on site. A Japanese-style set menu, featuring fresh local produces, is served for breakfast and dinner. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the dining area. Both Fukuoka Airport and Kumamoto Airport are a 2.5-hour bus ride away, while JR Hakata Station is a 3-hour bus ride from the property. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities. To use the propertys free shuttle to/from Kurokawa Onsen Bus Stop, please make a reservation at time of booking.An accommodation tax per person per night is not included in the price and needs to be paid at the property. Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests.
