Towel in good condition, local natural toiletries supplied. Absolute bonus is the use of a washing machine for a nominal fee. Daily fresh vegetarian breakfast (on request) was delicious. Sheethal is very knowledgeable on the area. She also helped to book my train ticket on her app 🙏🏼 and assist with taxi service. I felt very safe as a solo traveller.

Sheethal was an amazing host, giving us a detailed outline of the area with recommendations for cafees restaurants and things to do. And she even gave me some family recipe medicine (honey and ground nutmeg) when I was feeling a bit sick. Definitely recommend this place!

Liked: Hostess who speaks good English and provided a map with places of interest. Clean room with all the basics. Can do a load of washing for Rs200. Could be better: The room is up two steep flights of stairs, which would be difficult for those less able. The fleecy towels made it impossible to dry yourself properly. Kerala breakfast was limited. A bedside table and a kettle in the room would have been nice. Although the hostess provided a map, it would have been good to get a bit more context on the best time to see the Fort and also know about the Jew Road markets (as it was a bit disappointing we ran out of time on that side of town).
