ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES
• VISITORS - the use of the pool and other shared condominium amenities is provided to the people included in the booking only, you cannot bring any other people to use the condominium shared facilities. If you will have regular visitors spending time with you at the house, please send a message to discuss BEFORE booking.
• SMOKING - if you smoke, please use the ashtrays provided. If you smoke inside of the house, leave a window/door open. Take extra care in the palapa since it’s a wooden structure.
• AIR CONDITIONING - switch off the AC when not using a room and all of them when you leave the house. The ACs have a powerful "Jet Mode" which cools down a room quickly when you return.
• COFFEE CAPSULES - if you use the Nespresso machine, capsules are $20 MXN pesos each (practically cost price).
• ANYTHING NOT WORKING & DAMAGES - Please notify me of anything not working or damages as and when you notice/ when anything happens, so that I can arrange to get it fixed as soon as possible, even if not for during your stay, for the next guests, who could have been you.
• BIKES - use the bike locks at all times. You are responsible for puncture repairs; the local bike repair shops do this for around $30-40 pesos.
CONDOMINIUM RULES
The condominium has its own rules, which apply equally to permanent residents, visitors and guests. You will be asked to sign receipt of them on entering the condominium. Just sensible stuff for harmony between neighbours, and which work to your benefit too. All condominiums in the area and in Mexico have similar rules, but most vacation rentals do not mention them. I like to give you all the information upfront so you dont get any surprises!
• ACCESS/SECURITY - there is controlled access into the condominium, you will receive guest cards when you enter the condominium for the first time, you must carry one with you to enter. You need to let the security guards know in advance via an app/website of any visitor or service provider you want to enter the condominium and all visitors have to register with an official ID. The guards dont speak English.
• BBQs/PERGOLA AREA - hours of use 10am to 10pm. A maximum of 6 people from any one house can use the pergola area at a time. There are 2 BBQ grills, the security guards issue the metal grills on receipt of a $1000 peso deposit and an ID which are returned on leaving the grills and the areas you use clean, tidy and free of garbage after use. You need to take your own charcoal and lighting fluid. The BBQ grills are available on a first come first served basis. No parties or events. This is an alcohol and smoke free area.
• POOL - hours of use 6am to 9pm. Use footwear between the house and the pool area, and use the shower at the poolside before entering the pool. No drinks or food of any kind in or around the pool. No glass of any kind allowed in or around the pool. This is also an alcohol and smoke free area. (You can eat and drink non-alcoholic drinks in the pergola area or at the picnic table at the side of the kids play area, both adjacent to the pool). Children less than 3 years old have to wear water nappies/diapers. Children less than 10 years old must be supervised by an adult. Only swimwear to be used in the pool. Only toys/accessories designed for pool use to be used in the pool (inflatables or foam). No diving. Do not enter the pool with sunblock on.
• GARBAGE - place your garbage in tied plastic bags in the containers in the garbage room, which is outside the front gates to the right. The security guards will open the room for you. Dont leave garbage in front of the house at any time. Don’t litter in communal areas.
• KIDS PLAY AREA - is for children up to 9 years old only. Children must be supervised at all times.
• PARKING - maximum of 2 cars per booking. You can park in front of the downstairs bedroom window, and/or on the street in front of the house, just leave the pavement/sidewalk free for people to walk on. Dont park on the walkways up to the house front doors.
• CCTV - the condominium has CCTV around the perimeter and in shared areas (pool, BBQ area, basketball court).
• ILLEGAL DRUGS - the use of any kind of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited within the condominium.
• NOISE - the house is in a residential development, people who have to get up early to go to work every day live here. Keep noise low between 10pm and 9am. Excessive noise at any time is strictly prohibited.
• SPORTS COURT - is for basketball only. Dont hang on the basketball hoops.
• FIREWORKS - no fireworks are allowed to be used in the condominium.
• FINES - the condominiums penalties for breaking the rules, for example for eating or drinking at the pool, or for excessive noise, range from $500 to $2500 MXN pesos, and would be charged to you.
